No one needs a specific certificate to be a good storyteller. It is true that we all have some story to tell.
On the 19th of January, we want to gather and listen to the stories of three Mitrovica women. Their eyes have seen the city through its better and worse, on sunny days and nights bright with moonlight. Their ears have heard news and talks that you might have never heard or forgotten. Through storytelling, these three women will tell us about some other ways of how Mitrovica breaths.
You are warmly invited to join us and participate in this event, where we intend to rediscover the city of Mitrovica through the eyes of its own people, from different backgrounds, and to understand what links us together, going beyond our differences. It is cold outside but we will warm our hearts with memories, homemade food, and tea.
Location: Diakonie Youth Center, Mitrovicë
Time: 17:00 – 19:00
The event will be presented both in Albanian and Serbian. English translation will be provided by volunteers on a screen.
This is the first event of the ‘Storytelling Caravan’. There will be one similar event every month until May 2019.
The event is financed by the European Union and organized by GAIA Kosovo.
The event is for free and so are the drinks and the food.
