GAIA Kosovo & BREfest is organizing BRE Networking Event on the 12th of August, 2018 in Brezovica Ski Center, Sharr Mountain, Kosovo.

There is nothing more profound and mighty than a mountain, especially Sharr.

TOVA E SNIMKATA KOIATO NE TRIABVA DA SE SPODELIA

GAIA Kosovo is glad to announce its BRE Networking & Capacity Building event in the midst of Sharr itself. But, this time, this event is casual, and instead of our clothes let our minds be serious about working together.

The event is part of our second edition of BREfest – a small, humble, nature gathering which aims to bring people together and reinforce human and nature bonds. Link for the event – program coming soon.

brefest 2018

Despite the three days of workshops, movie screenings and music, this time we would like for you to join us especially in the last day of the festival to build new friendships/partnerships and think of our actions and ways to work together. Topics will be focused on sustainability, use of natural resources, peace, social justice and equality in the Balkan region through the lenses of youth and youth work, considering that August 12th is the International Youth day.

The event will be outdoor and involves walking – surrounded by the beautiful nature, sharing, discussing and meeting people from different backgrounds.

The event will start at 09:30 till 18:00, however organizations representatives are more than welcome to join us the night before (11 Aug) and stay the night after the event for some more BREfest experience.

Here you will find the agenda for the event; there might be changes depending on the weather.

GAIA is able to cover accommodation, food  and transport for up to twenty people, however, there is the possibility to book accommodation for 6 EUR per night (shared rooms) in one of the hotels in the ski center and cover your own travel expenses. Food is provided for all participants, three meals (breakfast, lunch and dinner). Note that all the meals will be vegetarian. For any allergies and requirements please let us know through the application.

Regarding the agenda and preparation for your as participation:

For the first part we will be going for a short hike. On the way you will have a small task; once we reach our destination you will have a short round of presenting each other (speed dating, 1-2 min per person/organization). Afterwards, there will be 5 thematic stations where small discussions will take place. Depending on the number of the people you will be divided in small groups and move from one to the other station every 10-20 minutes.

After lunch, you will have the opportunity to talk and exchange promotional materials among you (Fair Fair) but also guests and friends of BREfest – make sure you bring some publications, flyers, merch… However, keep in mind we are in the mountain on a festival promoting sustainability.

After the Fair Fair, we will go near Hotel Molika, at BREstage for the last part of the event – moderated discussion on present situations and future steps.

We seriously recommend cozy, warm, light, comfortable, waterproof clothes. Shoes are nothing to joke about, bring out those hiking shoes!

We encourage young people from the Western Balkans who are at least 18 year-old to apply.

The event is organised by GAIA Kosovo and financed by Regional Youth Cooperation Office (RYCO).
